Books Don't Work Here

I had been in a bit of a funk for the last week or so since I hadn’t thought of any new ideas for the comic. Sure I flushed out a lot of the script but I didn’t come up with a new angle on something or anything that would change the big picture. There is just something addicting to playing around with a new idea that you can’t get from working out the kinks of an old one. For this page, I set out to try and find that spark again. I knew the two most obvious stances that charity could take (for and against the punch) and I wanted to do something that came at it from another dimension. I also wanted it to be true to Charity’s motives (self-preservation followed by ambition in this case). The solution, of course, was for her to try not to take a side. Robin, of course, foils every bodies carefully laid plans for diplomacy. Who knows how well it turned out but at least it got the creative juices going again.
