Page 206: What you don’t know
Getting to talk with the daughter of one of your role models is a rare thing in the villain world. Partially because the lengths you have to go to get them/get them to talk and partially from the response a top tier villain is likely to exhibit when you kidnap their daughter.
This also reveals a lot on how Charity was raised and the
I like how sparky tried to rest his elbows on the table and didn’t notice he missed with one. The slight slip shows how focused he is on charity.
Long time no comment Censorship good to hear from you again.
I feel like this would be enough to identify him even with the censorship. Not many people manage to hold an entire city to ransom successfully, right?
So you were able to track down his name?
Ok, not a fair rebuttal. You probably meant that the people in the BDWH universe could use this information to track his name down. After which they try and blackmail him or something equally self-destructive. Rest assured the agency incharge of his civilian identity has ample motivation to prevent such shenanigans.
And depending on which dimension, timeline, and news network you are getting your facts from there have been anywhere from 2.17 to 13.99 cities successfully held hostage for over 3 months. The BDWH city is only very loosely affiliated with the rest of the country and thus most characters are not up on their villain trivia for the scene on the coast. I will make sure to squash any internet searches they attempt on the subject though.
Also, the official story about the resolution of the city being held hostage stated that Charity’s dad was killed. after which he was not seen in costume again. There are rumors among the heroes and villains but few civilians have access to the unedited story.
That said Charity is still putting it out there that her father was one of the top villains. The average person she meets on the street is more likely to gossip about the comic third hand than actually read it but there is a non zero chance that Robin checks the website before meeting charity in person again. A minuscule chance but a non zero one.
Opposing theory:A search for charities dad will come up with nothing.
Reasoning: charity didn’t exist before Robin made her up thus Charities dad dosnt have to exist at all. It’s all memories the director planted in her head. He just dosnt want to draw attention to her Puppet strings and risk an existential crisis.
Don’t say that about Daddy!
Entirely fair rebuttal, really. Actually, I hadn’t thought that through anywhere near that far; I was considering with the information available to the comic readers, which I had forgotten could potentially include Robin, or anyone else from this city.
I’m a bit slow on the uptake sometimes.
You make my sister cry and we will have words.
